Country Music Monday

Country Music Monday sponsored by The Rotary Club of Giddings is in its 18th year of providing excellent country music programs for the Giddings Community on the first Monday of every month. The program scheduled for the 2nd of August will be no exception. Four first class performers will take the stage at 7:30 p.m. at the Giddings High School Cafetorium to present great entertainment for the audience.

Bo Porter has been performing all his life in many different places. With teachers as his dad Reid Porter and Merle Haggard, he is well versed in Classic Country, Texas Swing, Blues, Rock n’Roll and all the best of country music. His followers come from all over Florida, Alaska, California, and everywhere in between because they have heard the good word about his musical abilities. The internet applauds his accomplishments as the audience on August 2nd will do in Giddings.

Tom Teboe from New Braunfels has played Honky Tonks across the country. His repertoire includes a large collection of Country Western, and Western Swing music. Successful CD’s have increased his popularity and the demand for his on stage performances.

Holly Tucker is a dedicated country singer from Lorena, Texas. She is determined to do well with the signing talent the Lord has blessed her with and to glorify Him with her every song. A devoted and loved musical family and the influence of entertainers as Martina McBride, Rascal Flatts, Billy Gilman and others has been the support and encouragement needed for her to step on stage and use her abilities to entertain her audience.

Julianne McBride made her first stage appearance at the age of two and commanded the attention of her audience. At age five, she began Opry performances with the Alvin Opry and since then it has been Opry’s all over the state of Texas. She has captivated audiences at many Cook-offs, Livestock Shows, Festivals, County Fairs, Rodeos, and charity events. She is a member of the Art Park Players and Art Park’s Player’s prestigious performing group “The Rockin Cowgirls.”

In addition to the above named country stars will be the regular Country Music Monday backup band.

Food is available, and ample well-lighted parking spaces are for your convenience at the new Giddings High School. Admission is $3.00. All profits from the monthly Country Music programs are designed for the scholarships annually given by the Rotary Club.
