Mike Junek Back to Snook
Mike Junek, left Snook in 2006 to become the Coach at Lexington. He was the head coach for two years before stepping back to coach tennis for the Eagles. Being from Snook, basketball never really left his blood. He did some scouting for Eagle Coach Charlie Tucker last season and the itch to coach round ball got stronger.
Junek found out the job at Snook was open and applied. His history with the school both as a coach and a player on state championship teams made Junek a very attractive candidate. The Snook superintendent interviewed the final candidates and presented only Junek to the school board, who gladly approved his recommendation.
Junek guided Snook to a 22-8 record in 2005 as the Bluejays made their record setting 19th state tourney appearance.
