The Sheriff’s Office received a call from a female advising that her mother and sister were trying to take her son away from her. The caller sounded intoxicated and hung up the phone. A second call was received from the residence stating that the first caller was drunk and hitting everyone while holding her child. Deputy Durrenberger and Deputy Aderhold were dispatched to the scene. One subject was arrested for public intoxication.
Deputy Lapham was dispatched to a residence on CR 127 in Ledbetter after a complainant called and reported that a male subject had threatened him by calling him and telling him he was on his way to his house with a gun. Deputy Lapham patrolled the area but no one ever showed up.
A motorist reported cows out on FM 141 approx 3 ½ miles north of Giddings. Deputy Lapham responded and got the cattle back into a pasture.
A resident on FM 141 requested to speak to a deputy. Deputy Lapham advised that the matter would be a civil one and an information report was written.
Deputy Lapham and Deputy Durrenberger responded to a possible overdose on CR 135. A female attempted to overdose on an unknown substance and was conscious, but very incoherent. B&M ambulance was called to the scene.
A caller requested a deputy because he was having problems with his 17 year old daughter. She was planning on running away. Deputy Aderhold was dispatched.
July 6, 2010
St. John’s Hospital called and spoke to Deputy Aderhold regarding an assault that occurred in Lee County on FM 619. A subject was punched in the eye by another resident. A report was taken.
Deputy Lapham took a criminal mischief report after a caller reported that she noticed a vehicle in her driveway so she started walking towards it. As she got close, a bunch of young kids jumped into the vehicle and sped off. They had dumped a mailbox in her driveway that belonged to someone else. A report was taken.
A caller requested EMS to her residence on CR 205 because she thought her husband was having a stroke. Deputy Aderhold was dispatched to the scene.
Deputy York was dispatched to a local business after a caller advised that someone had broken in and took several items. A report was taken and investigation is ongoing at this time.
A motorist reported that she had a blow out on Hwy 21 near CR 107. She had all the equipment and a spare tire but needed help changing the tire. Deputy York responded and reported to dispatch that the caller struck some road signs when she had her blow out and a Trooper would be needed for a report.
Captain Gonzales was dispatched to an alarm call at a business on Hwy 290. The key holder was notified and the building was secured.
Deputy Carvin was dispatched to Hwy 290 West after a caller reported that a vehicle with a flat tire was partially in the roadway and they needed some assistance with traffic control.
A motorist reported that an 18 wheeler and a truck were stopped on Hwy 77 just north of the Giddings High School. Deputy Ray located the vehicles and assisted with traffic control while the semi changed a flat tire.
July 7, 2010 A motorist reported cows out on FM 696 West. Deputy Ray assisted a Lexington officer get them off the roadway.
The Sheriff’s Office received a call that a tractor had slipped off a trailer and rolled out onto Hwy 21. Deputy York and Deputy Lapham responded. Deputies remained at the scene and assisted with traffic control.
A resident on CR 433 reported that someone had gone onto their property and destroyed some feeders. They believe they know who might have done it. A report was taken and charges are pending at this time.
A complainant came to the Sheriff’s Office and spoke to Deputy Carvin regarding credit card abuse. Nearly $2000 has been charged to her account. A report was taken. Investigation is ongoing at this time.
Deputy Durrenberger spoke to a complainant regarding a welfare concern. The complainant advised that he spoke to his son yesterday and said that he sounded very ill. The caller advised that he told his ex-wife that she needed to get him to a doctor. He has continued to try to get in touch with his son but unable to do so. The deputy spoke to the child’s grandparents and the mother and son left for the beach.
Deputy Ray assisted Trooper Weiser at the scene of an accident on FM 180 between CR 132 and FM 1697. There were no injuries and the vehicle was towed from the scene.
A caller reported that a subject that lives in Giddings went to her house in Austin and picked up her son, which she does have custody of, but was intoxicated. Caller requested a deputy check her residence and see if she made it home. Deputy Durrenberger responded and advised that no one was home. The complainant was advised.

Several motorists reported that there was a horse out on Hwy 21 just east of CR 327. Deputy Easley was dispatched and advised that the owner was on sight and had removed the animal from the roadway.
Captain Gonzales was dispatched to Hwy 290 West approx 1 mile out of the city limits after a caller reported a cow out on the road. The cattle were located and removed from the roadway.
Deputy Ray was dispatched to a disabled vehicle on Hwy 77 approx 1 mile North of CR 114. The vehicle had left the scene prior to arrival.
July 9, 2010
A caller requested a deputy to their residence on Clark Lane because they were having family problems. Deputy Easley took the call and advised everything was okay. The matter had been resolved.
The Sheriff’s Office received a call from a subject stating that his friend had gone to check on a man on CR 318 and he found him deceased. Deputy York and Deputy Carvin were dispatched to the scene along with Justice of the Peace #3. Deputies were able to contact next of kin and notify them.
Captain Gonzales and Deputy Easley assisted at the scene of an accident on Hwy 77 North @ CR 114. Deputies stood by and directed traffic until a Trooper from Fayette County arrived.
A caller reported that they were having a meeting at the Post Oak Community Center and one of the members was getting out of control. The complainant believes that the situation may escalate to a physical confrontation. Deputy Ray and Deputy Aderhold responded and reported that the subject causing the problems had already left the scene.
A complainant called and reported that she could hear someone yelling outside her house which is near Hwy 21. Deputy Ray and Deputy Aderhold conducted a search of the area and located several people at the Community Center in Lincoln. They were getting ready for a party. Everything was okay.
July 10, 2010
Deputy Aderhold put up a bull on CR 326 approx 5 miles out of Lexington. The owner was unable to be contacted.
A motorist reported that a bull is out again on CR 127 and is out almost every day. Deputy Crockett was able to run the bull back into a pasture. The owner was notified and advised that a citation will be issued if the bull is not kept off the roadway.
A resident at Shady Oaks called and reported that a beige or silver extended cab truck was speeding around the neighborhood. Deputy Carvin was dispatched and patrolled the area in search of a vehicle matching the description given.
A complainant spoke to Deputy Crockett regarding a friend that had left for San Antonio a couple of days ago and had not been seen or heard from since. A missing person report was taken and the subject was entered into TCIC/ NCIC computer.
Deputy Easley was dispatched to CR 309 after a complainant reported that someone was driving a 4-wheeler through his pasture. The area was searched and a close patrol of the area will be put into effect.
A caller reported a suspicious vehicle that was parked at the end of a driveway on Hwy 77. Deputy Aderhold was assigned to the call. The caller called back and advised the he spoke to the driver and the vehicle had run out of gas and help was on the way.

Dispatch received a call from a resident on CR 127 and requested assistance because her husband fell and could not get up. Deputy York and Deputy Crockett responded and assisted.
Deputy Easley responded to a call on Hwy 77 @ E. Calvert St after a caller reported seeing an elderly male standing at roadway and appeared to be disoriented.
Deputy Durrenberger spoke to a complainant regarding a terroristic threat. A report was taken and charges are pending at this time.
