Giddings Library News Corner

The June shipment of new books is now available at the Giddings Public Library. Tami Hoag, a very popular author, has a new book, Deeper Than The Dead, a murder mystery. Set in California in 1985, the plot involves four children who find a body buried in the woods.

One of the most read authors in this area is Sandra Brown, whose new arrival is Texas! Chase, one of her books in her Texas trilogy. Set in Texas, this classic family saga is a dramatic tale of love and redemption. Other new books are Family Album by Penelope Lively, Under The Dome by Stephen King, and two books by Alexander McCall Smith-The Double Comfort Safari Club and La’s Orchestra Saves The World.

Trial By Fire by J. A. Jance is a heart-pounding tale of suspense set in Arizona. Fired Up by Jayne Ann Krentz is a Arcane Society novel and the first novel in the

Dreamlight Trilogy, the story of a curse and how love can heal it.

Other Men’s Horses by Elmer Kelton from San Angelo involves a Texas Ranger in trying to catch horse thieves. Other new books are A Christmas Blizzard by Garrison Keillor, A Rumpole Christmas by John Mortimer , The Honor Of Spies by W. E. Griffin, A Quilters Holiday by Jennifer Chiaverini, Fair Maiden by Joyce Carol Oates, And Mistress Makes Three by Francis Ray, Star Craft by William C. Dietz, and Larry Bond’s Red Dragon Rising by Larry Bond.

The Giddings Library is open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. and on Saturdays from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. It is closed on Sundays.
