Ruby was united in marriage to Sergeant Major Arthur C. Weerts on November 21, 1948 also at Martin Luther Lutheran Church in Carmine by Rev. A.B. Weiss. Their marriage was blessed with two sons, Gene & Keith.

Ruby was a loving and devoted homemaker and beloved grandmother and great grandmother who enjoyed gardening, dancing and playing dominoes with her family and friends. Ruby’s life was a living example of a life filled with Christ. She had a true servant’s heart and was filled with love for everyone. Her greatest desire was to welcome and embrace all newcomers to the community. She always took an active role in her community and church and was a member of the Martin Luther Lutheran Church Ladies Aid, the Ledbetter Homemakers Club and the Carmine Lions Club. Her passing leaves a great void in all of our hearts. We sorrowfully kiss her goodbye for now. Until we meet again, we love you Granny.
