Sheriff ’s Report

JUNE 21, 2010

A caller reported that she had received a call from her minor daughter who was at her father’s house, stating that she wanted to go home. Deputy Ray was dispatched to the residence to check on the child. Everything was okay. The child was upset because her parents were not getting along.

Deputy York was dispatched to CR 402 to put up cows that were on the roadway.

Several motorists reported that on FM 448 @ Rabb’s Creek several cones from the construction area had been moved to the middle of the roadway. Deputy Ray was dispatched and moved the cones to the side of the roadway.

A Dime Box resident came to the Sheriff’s Office and spoke to Deputy York regarding a theft case. He reported that two individuals stole $800 and his wallet and driver’s license. A report was made.

A resident on CR 450 called and requested a deputy check his property because he thinks someone may be snooping around in his garage. Deputy Easley and Deputy Ray responded and checked the area and advised that nothing appeared disturbed and there were no signs of anyone on the property.

B&M Ambulance requested assistance at the Bullpen on CR 217 after a caller reported that a man had passed out and appeared to be going into diabetic shock. Deputy Aderhold assisted because the man became combative.

A caller reported a suspicious vehicle on CR 326 just off FM 1624. Deputy Carvin was dispatched but advised that the vehicle was gone prior to his arrival.

Chief Deputy Kothmann received a call about a white Ford truck that was near a residence on CR F. Deputy Carvin responded and reported that everything appeared ok.

A motorist reported that a donkey and a horse were out on FM 141. Deputy York was dispatched and ran the animals off the roadway.

The Sheriff’s Office received a call regarding a man that was walking along Hwy 77 just south of CR 220. The caller reported that the man appeared to be disoriented. Deputy Aderhold was dispatched and made a check of Hwy 77 from Giddings to Warda and was unable to locate the subject.

A motorist reported that he ran his truck through a fence near the country club. Caller reported that he is unable to get his vehicle out and is requesting assistance. Deputy Easley also responded to the scene with Trooper Weiser.

Deputy York spoke to a complainant who advised that someone had damaged his mailbox.

While on routine patrol Deputy York came upon a two vehicle accident on FM 448. No injuries were reported. Trooper Manner arrived on scene and took a report.

A resident reported a suspicious vehicle that was backed into a driveway on CR 211 in Serbin. Deputy Easley was dispatched but reported that the vehicle had left prior to his arrival.

Deputy Aderhold was dispatched to CR 113 to check welfare on a teenager that was walking down the roadway.

A concerned citizen reported that the front gate to a residence was open. Deputy Aderhold checked it out and advised that everything appeared to be okay. The gates closer to the house are still locked.

JUNE 24, 2010

Chief Davenport advised Deputy Aderhold that there was a car parked at FM 696 @ FM 112 and his officers were out on a call. There was no one around and because it was partially blocking the roadway the vehicle was towed.

Deputy York was called out at 5:45 am to check on a red truck that was reported to be parked in the middle of FM 141 near CR 116. The area was searched but no vehicle was found parked on the Hwy.

Deputy Easley was dispatched to Hwy 290 East near FM 180 after several motorists reported cows out on the roadway.

JUNE 25, 2010

A caller reported that some items had been stolen from a construction site in Lexington. Deputy Crockett took the report. Investigation continues on this case.

Captain Gonzales spoke to a complainant regarding a child custody case. Her ex-husband was supposed to return their son to her by 6pm and had failed to do so. She attempted to call him but his phone went straight to voice mail.

A motorist reported cows out on the roadway on CR 118. Deputy Durrenberger was dispatched.

A caller reported that there were approx 10-15 trail riders in the road on CR 118 near CR 117 and they did not have any lights and they were blocking traffic. Deputy Aderhold was dispatched. The complainant called back and advised that the trail riders made it to their destination and were off the road.

Deputy Crockett was dispatched to FM 1624 near the Black Jack Ranch after a motorist reported two horses out on the road. The owner was notified.

Chief Deputy Kothmann came across an abandoned Toyota truck with vehicle damage on Hwy 21 East. A check of the vehicle revealed that it was reported stolen out of Bastrop County. The vehicle was confirmed stolen and towed to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office and will be stored for Bastrop County.

A resident on CR 411 called the Sheriff’s Office and spoke to Deputy Durrenberger regarding a stolen utility trailer. A report was made.

Chief Deputy Kothmann and Deputy Durrenberger assisted Trooper Manner at a fatality accident on Hwy 21 @ FM 3403. The Giddings Fire Dept. was dispatched for Jaws. Justice of the Peace Pct #4 was also called to the scene.

A female caller reported that a man had been bucked off his horse and was in the middle of FM 180 near the park. Deputy Ray responded to the scene.

A caller reported that he had just received a phone call stating that his house is on fire in Kyle, Texas. He went out to get into his truck and it would not start. Deputy Ray assisted and jump started his truck for him.

JUNE 27, 2010

A complainant reported that he was upset because it was past 11pm and some people were popping fireworks on Walnut St in Lincoln. Deputy Aderhold was dispatched but advised dispatch that he did not hear any fireworks.

JUNE 27, 2010

Deputy Aderhold stopped a vehicle in the 300 block of Hale St. in Lexington. The driver was issued a ticket for consumption by a minor and released to his mother.

JUNE 27, 2010

Chief Deputy Kothmann was dispatched to a burglar alarm on Hwy 290 East. Several employees with keys were on sight doing maintenance work.

JUNE 27, 2010 A motorist reported an 18 wheeler pulling a trailer was weaving and driving recklessly on Hwy 290 West heading eastbound. A description of the vehicle was given to Chief Deputy Kothmann and Deputy Durrenberger. The vehicle was located on Hwy 290 West. The driver and passengers were checked out and released.

JUNE 27, 2010

A caller reported that sometime within the past couple of hours someone had dumped two bags of trash, a bed frame and mattress in Cross Creek on CR 316. Deputy Durrenberger responded and found a piece of mail with name on it. A report was taken and charges are pending.

JUNE 27, 2010

Deputy Easley was dispatched to a family disturbance on PR 4363. The complainant advised that her sister is at her house yelling and screaming at her. A criminal trespass warning was issued.
