Two big 4th of July Celebrations are planned for this Sunday. Lexington’s Chamber of Commerce will hold their Annual 4th of

July Celebration at the City Park, serving hot dogs and soft drinks before the Lexington VFD lights the fireworks at dusk.

In Giddings, Fury on the Fourth, a 4th of July celebration and a PBR Bull Riding competition, will again be held at the Lee County Sheriff’s Posse Covered Arena. Barbeque will be sold beginning at 8 that morning and the bull riding will start at 6 p.m.

A big fireworks display, sponsored by the Giddings Volunteer Fire Department, will begin at dusk and a dance featuring

Kenny Orts and No Chance will start at 8 p.m.
