Johnston Honored

Ashton Johnston, Lexington’s outstanding centerfielder in softball and valedictorian, has been honored by her selection to several all star teams. Ashton was selected to the second team All- Centex by the Austin American Statesman and was an All-State Academic selection by the Texas Girls Coaches association. Johnston was also selected to the All-Brazos Valley Academic team and was honorable mention to the All-Brazos Valley team by the BCS Eagle.

Johnston was Lexington’s valedictorian with a 4.27 GPA for the 2010 graduating class. Ashton was the Lady Eagles’ centerfielder the last three seasons. This past season she batted .406 with all 39 hits being singles. She scored a team high 40 runs during the 2010 season. Ashton did all this while playing a solid centerfield for the Lady Eagles on defense.

Johnston also played volleyball and ran track for the Lady Eagle teams this past season in her spare time.
