Sheriff ’s Report

June 14, 2010

A caller reported that some boys were crawling through a window of his apartment. Deputy Aderhold was dispatched. The deputy spoke to everyone involved and reported that since the boys were juveniles the parents were going to handle the matter.

A complainant came to the Sheriff’s Office and spoke to Deputy Aderhold regarding a matter in which her juvenile daughter was being offered alcohol at a friend’s. Investigation continues at this time.

Deputy York spoke to a complainant on W. Independence regarding problems she was having with dogs that belong to her neighbor.

Deputy Easley and Deputy Carvin responded to FM 141 after a motorist reported a one vehicle rollover near PR 1414.

A caller reported that while he was speaking to his daughter on the phone he could hear yelling and cussing in the back ground. He requested that a deputy check welfare of his daughter. Deputy Durrenberger was dispatched.

A concerned citizen reported that a maroon Dodge Charger was parked near the south side of the concession stand at the Fireman’s Park. Deputy Easley was dispatched and citations were issued.

June 15, 2010

Deputy Aderhold was dispatched to put up a calf that was out on the roadway on CR 114 between CR 135 and PR 1144.

Several callers reported that someone had taken shoe polish and had marked on numerous vehicles on Shady Circle and the Brademan Addition in Lexington. Deputy Crockett responded.

An alarm company reported a residential alarm in Lexington. Deputy Carvin was dispatched. Two minutes later, the alarm company called back to cancel the call.

A complainant called and reported that his cargo trailer that was on Harry St. had been spray painted. Information was passed on to Deputy Crockett.

June 16, 2010

Dispatch received a 9-1-1 transfer from Bastrop County regarding a disturbance on CR 302. Deputy Aderhold and Deputy Ray responded to the scene. One male subject left the residence for the night.

Deputy Crockett was dispatched to a residential alarm. Everything was checked and all was okay.

Deputy York advised dispatch that he had stopped and put up approx 10 cows that were out on FM 1624. It was unknown as to who they belonged to.

Deputy Crockett was dispatched to FM 141 @ Hwy 290 to assist and stand by as a tax warrant was served. The warrant was served without any problems.

A caller reported that someone had dumped approx. 12 bags of trash near Nails Creek on CR 127. Deputy Lapham was dispatched and a report was made. The commissioner was notified of the situation.

Deputy Ray and Deputy Aderhold attempted to locate a one vehicle rollover accident on Hwy 21 near the Bastrop County line. The accident was located in Bastrop County.

June 17, 2010 While on routine patrol Deputy Ray located an unsecured building in Dime Box. He attempted to make contact with the owner but was unable to do so. The door was secured.

Deputy Ray spoke to a complainant who reported that she had placed an ad on a computer site and someone had taken her phone number and posted it all over. She has been receiving numerous calls from everywhere. Deputy Ray gave her some options.

A concerned citizen reported a suspicious vehicle at a residence on CR 114. The vehicle was described as a white S-10 Blazer. Deputy Crockett advised dispatch that the vehicle had left prior to his arrival but he would search the area.

Deputy Durrenberger met with a complainant on CR 230 after he called and reported that someone had spray painted the wall near his front door. A report was taken and investigation continues at this time.

A resident reported a light or tan colored truck to be parked at a residence on CR 326. Deputy Durrenberger and Deputy Ray were dispatched but reported that the vehicle was gone and everything appeared to be okay.

Captain Gonzales and Deputy Durrenberger were dispatched to CR 207 regarding a suspicious vehicle parked at an oilfield entrance. The truck was located and the driver was identified and released.

June 18, 2010

Chief Deputy Kothmann spoke to a complainant regarding the neighbor’s cows getting out and onto her father’s pasture. The owner was notified and he will be hauling off the cattle.

A caller reported that all the street signs in the Blue properties have been stolen. The caller reported this to be the second time. Deputy Easley was dispatched and a report was written. The commissioner was also notified.

A complainant called and reported that a white Dodge crew cab truck pulling a black trailer was parked in front of her property on Hwy 290 East. Chief Deputy Kothmann responded. The complainant called back and advised that she knew the driver who told her that they had run out of gas but had someone on the way.

A concerned citizen called and reported that he was following a black newer model Chevrolet truck pulling a flatbed trailer with two motorcycles. Chief Deputy Kothmann and Deputy Lapham located the vehicle on CR 133 and stopped and spoke to the occupants. The driver had just purchased the motorcycles and showed the paperwork to the deputies. The vehicle was released.

June 19, 2010

Deputy Ray and Deputy Aderhold assisted at the scene of an accident on Hwy 77 approx 1 mile north of Hwy 21. The driver was arrested by Trooper Early and charged with driving while intoxicated.

A resident reported that his neighbor’s gate is open which is unusual and would like a deputy to check it out. Deputy Lapham was dispatched. The complainant called back and advised that the neighbor’s son was doing some work on the property and had left it open.

Deputy Lapham took a report after a caller reported some suspicious activity on her property on FM 696. Someone had taken her gate off the hinges and let her horses out.

A caller reported that a horse was out running loose on CR 309. Deputy York responded but reported that the owner was already there putting up the horse.

The Sheriff’s Office received a call from a motorist reporting that a vehicle was on fire on Hwy 21. Deputy York and Deputy Durrenberger responded and located the vehicle. The driver had already put the fire out.

A subject reported to Deputy Lapham that she had been assaulted by a subject while they were in Lincoln. A report was made and charges are pending at this time.

Deputy Easley spoke to a female complainant who reported that she had received approx. 9 calls from a man in Mansfield Texas and she had repeatedly asked him to stop calling her. A report was taken.

Deputy Durrenberger and Deputy Easley responded to a house fire on CR 307. The owner called and reported bombing her house for bugs and insects and left the house on a walk. When she returned she saw that her house was fully engulfed in flames.

June 20, 2010 A caller reported that she had hit a deer on FM 448. Deputy Ray was dispatched and the driver was given a blue form to fill out for her insurance company.

Deputy Ray assisted at the scene of an accident on CR 208. There were no injuries.

A citizen reported some suspicious activity on his property and wanted it documented due to all the burglaries in the area. Deputy York spoke to the complainant who reported that he found what appeared to be human poop near his front gate.

A motorist reported a two vehicle accident on Hwy 77 North approx ½ mile north of Hwy 21. No injuries were reported. Deputy Easley made a crash report.

Deputy Durrenberger and Deputy Easley responded to another accident on Hwy 21 West. Callers reported that a car rolled several times. Deputies assisted with traffic control until a Trooper from Fayette County could respond.
