Giddings Police Report
June 14, 2010
At approximately 4:09 p.m., Sgt. Farah Ramsey spoke with a complainant in reference to a Burglary of a Motor Vehicle that occurred at Walmart on June 10, 2010. The complainant was driving a white Dodge pickup and was parked on the West side of the parking lot. He discovered that someone had stolen a rifle out of the bed of his truck. Police are looking for possible witnesses to this crime.

At approximately 10:10 p.m., Officer Greg Cummings was dispatched to 654 S. Caldwell Street in reference to an individual wanting to report lost property. When the officer arrived, he met with Erica Rodriguez who stated that after she unloaded groceries into her vehicle at Walmart, she forgot her purse in the shopping cart. When she later returned to the store, her purse was taken.
June 19, 2010
At approximately 1:20 a.m., Officer Lacey Carvin was flagged down in the parking lot of Bernie’s Bar and Grill, located at 2110 E. Hempstead, in reference to a hit and run collision that just occurred. A witness advised that he observed a white Dodge Ram truck back into a red Ford truck that was parked in the lot unoccupied. The white Dodge Ram then fled the location without attempting to make contact with the owner of the Ford truck. The owner of the Ford truck was located inside the establishment and Officer Greg Cummings located the actor vehicle on CR 226. The victim declined to pursue charges. Case exceptionally cleared.
At about 10:08 p.m., Officer Greg Cummings was on patrol in the 500 block of W. Austin Street traveling westbound. He observed a white 4-door SUV traveling eastbound on W. Austin at a high rate of speed. The vehicle was traveling 58 mph in a 40 mph zone. Driver John Hawkins was placed under arrest for Driving While License Invalid/Suspended, enhanced.
June 20, 2010
At approximately 12:02 a.m., Officer Lacey Carvin was dispatched to 394 N. Dallas Street in reference to a criminal mischief that had just occurred. The caller advised that approximately 20 minutes prior, someone had shattered the windshield on her vehicle. Upon arrival, Officer Carvin met with Laticia Bradshaw who advised that she was at her grandmother’s residence and a relative had arrived and advised that her windshield had been damaged. This case is active and under investigation, charges pending.
At approximately 1:11 p.m., Officer Adam Shepard, along with Detective Landis Lehmann, responded to 708 Rolling Oaks Drive for a disturbance in progress. Upon arrival, the officers met with the actors Trevece Burns Tenner and Henry Tenner. During the altercation, Henry suffered a cut to the back of his head and was arrested for a Lee County Warrant. This case is pending investigation.
At approximately 4:26 p.m., Officer Lacey Carvin was dispatched to 438 W. Liberty in reference to criminal mischief. Upon arrival, the officer met with the complainant, Javier Carmona, who advised that the driver’s side window of his vehicle had been spray painted. While on the scene, the officer discovered the cloth seat of a swing, the metal siding of a mobile home, and a tree had also been spray painted with the same black spray paint. Javier decline to pursue charges at this time and only wanted the incident documented. Case exceptionally cleared.
