Adolfo Mendoza DeLapaz was born on September 27, 1966 in Guadalupe Victoria, Mexico. He married Pearl Montalvo Hernandez on September 2, 1994 in Giddings, Texas. Adolfo had worked at Diamond P Oil Field Service, Brad & Sons and Pumpco. He was currently employed as a foreman with B & N Oilfield Services in Giddings. Adolfo had been a boxer while living in Mexico and enjoyed playing soccer and football.
He was preceded in death by his mother, two brothers and one sister.
Adolfo is survived by his wife, Pearl Mendoza of Giddings; his son, Joseph Mendoza of Giddings; his father, Jose DeLapaz of Valles, Mexico; one brother; five sisters and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Adolfo DeLapaz, 43 of Giddings, were held on Thursday, June 10, 2010 at St. Margaret’s Catholic Church in Giddings with Father Jim Olnhausen officiating. Entombment followed in the Giddings City Mausoleum. Visitation was held Wednesday from 8:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Thursday from 7:00 a.m. until 8:30 a.m. at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Giddings. A Rosary was recited Wednesday evening at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
