Busy Week in District Court

Visiting District Judge Christopher Duggan sentenced three individuals in the 21st District Court of Lee County on Friday, May 28, 2010.

Mickey Ray Boston, 46 of Houston, was convicted of Driving While Intoxicated - Subsequent. He was sentenced to five years confinement in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, probated five years. He was ordered to pay a $3000 fine, $304 in court costs, a $60 Drug Court Fee, a $34 DNA Testing Fee, $50 Bluebonnet Area Crime Stoppers Fee, and $100 to the EMS Trauma Fund. The Judge also ordered him to complete a Victim Impact Panel Program, a DWI Program and serve 150 hours of community service. His license was suspended for 180 days.

Casey Lynn Anderson, 19 of Somerville, was convicted of Forgery by Passing and was sentenced to two years confinement in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, probated five years. He was ordered to pay a $1500 fine, $304 in court costs, $400 for a court appointed attorney, $1492.63 in restitution, a $50 Bluebonnet Area Crime Stoppers Fee, and a $34 DNA Testing Fee. He was also ordered to perform 200 hours community service restitution.

Kenny Ray Brumley, 40 of Brenham, was convicted of Theft - less than $500, with two prior theft convictions. He was sentenced to two years confinement in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, probated four years. He was ordered to pay a $750 fine, $304 in court costs, $400 for a court appointed attorney, $50 Bluebonnet Area Crime Stoppers Fee, and a $34 DNA Testing Fee. The Judge also ordered him to complete 250 hours of community service restitution. Brumley will be confined for 20 days in the Lee County Law Enforcement Center as a condition of probation. In addition to that sentence, he was also convicted for Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle and was sentenced to two years confinement in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, probated four years. He was ordered to pay a $750 fine, $304 in court costs, $400 for a court appointed attorney, a $50 Bluebonnet Area Crime Stoppers Fee, a $34 DNA Testing Fee and $200 restitution. He will spend 20 days confinement in the Lee County Law Enforcement Center as a condition of his probation.

District Judge Terry Flenniken sentenced three individuals in the 21st District Court on Tuesday, June 1, 2010.

Alicia Sanchez Garza, 44 of College Station, was sentenced for Theft - less than $1500, with prior convictions. She was sentenced to 18 months confinement in a Texas Department of Criminal Justice State Jail Facility and ordered to pay $400 for a court appointed attorney, $304 in court costs, a $50 Bluebonnet Area Crime Stoppers Fee, a $34 DNA Testing Fee and $480.28 in restitution. She was also convicted of Credit Card Abuse and ordered to pay $400 for a court appointed attorney, $304 in court costs, a $50 Bluebonnet Area Crime Stoppers Fee, a $34 DNA Testing Fee and $480.28 in restitution.

Harvey Lee Sneed Jr., 50 of Austin, was convicted for Driving While Intoxicated With a Child Passenger. He was sentenced to two years confinement in a Texas Department of Criminal Justice State Jail Facility, probated for 42 months. He was ordered to pay a $2500 fine, $304 in court costs, $100 to the EMS Trauma Fund, a $50 Bluebonnet Area Crime Stoppers Fee, a $34 DNA Testing Fee and $100 to the Child Abuse Prevention Fund. The Judge ordered that he perform 250 community service restitution and successfully complete a Victim Impact Panel Program and a DWI Program.

Sharolyn Dyanne Joiner McNeil (aka Sharolyn Dyanne Joiner), 50 of Ledbetter, was convicted of Theft - $1500 - $20,000 and sentenced to 12 months confinement in a Texas Department of Criminal Justice State Jail Facility, probated for 3 years. She was order to pay a $500 fine, $1922.57 in restitution, $400 for a court appointed attorney, $304 in court costs, a $50 Bluebonnet Area Crime Stoppers Fee, a $34 DNA Testing Fee.
