Chamber Makes a Plea for Help
Lexington’s Chamber of Commerce has issued a request for help. The help is to repair the Chamber float so that it can once again be present in the Homecoming Parade. The float, which is a miniature Gazebo like the one on the Square, was used in the local parade for several years, before deterioration started. The Chamber has identified at least eight other uses for the float in Lexington alone.
Chamber representative Sylvia DeClue Kelinske said, “There are always invitations for our float to be involved in area parades held in other cities. All we need is some Spring cleaning and a few volunteers to make this work.”
