A “Newcomer” to Retirement

Kathy Newcomer recently retired to her ranch in Blue after 30 years serving the State of Texas. Kathy Newcomer recently retired to her ranch in Blue after 30 years serving the State of Texas. Kathy Newcomer, of Blue, Texas, has retired after 30 years of dedicated service to the State of Texas.

Kathy worked at the Texas School for the Deaf, in Austin, Texas, from August, 1979 to September, 2009. When she retired, Kathy held the position of the school’s Registrar/Academic Records Officer.

Kathy is a two time graduate of The University of Texas, where she earned both her B.S.W. and her M.S.S.W. degrees in social work. She is also licensed by The State of Texas and a licensed auctioneer.

Kathy owns the Double K. Ranch in Blue and she has learned that retirement can be full-time job!
