Deeray Garcia Deeray Garcia The Fayette County Country Music Club will host their monthly Opry on Monday, May 17, 2010 at the KC Hall in La Grange. The show starts at 7:30 P.M. and the doors will open at 5:30 P.M. Admission is only $5.00. The Opry is brought to you by the Fayette County Country Music Club, which is dedicated to the promotion of good country music.

This month the Opry is happy to feature DEERAY GARCIA. He is coming here all the way from the state of Oklahoma. Deeray’s earliest memory is of Johnny Cash coming to his home, sometimes staying a couple of days at a time and Roseanne Cash was his first girlfriend. He would go with his mother to watch her perform along with Lefty Frizzell, Wanda Jackson and others. Dee started his professional career with a band called Countryland Express and won an award for “up and coming artist” in 1976. In 1979 Dee landed a position with John Connelly where he played both fiddle and guitar. Dee has worked for many country music stars. He is an incredible singer and songwriter belting out some of the great classics of his mentors.

MARY DOOLEY grew up in deep East Texas on the Texas-Louisiana border listening to the Louisiana Hayride. As a little girl, her dream was to someday sing like Loretta Lynn. Mary has been singing country music for over 18 years and has traveled throughout Texas, Arkansas and Florida.

KELLY KIDS live out in Muldoon, Texas. They love to sing old country gospel songs for Jesus. They play with Stage Connection, a group of kids that travel to churches and play. Kaycie, who is 10, plays the guitar, piano, and accordian; Kyndahl, who is 8, plays the mandolin and violin, and Karlee, who is 7, plays the piano and the cello and, of course, sings! They have two younger sisters that are ready to sing and play with them!

DONNA B, known as the EBONY COWGIRL, is a native Texan and has been performing country music for 16 years. Her sound has been described as a cross between Wyonna, Anne Murray, Terri Gibbs and Patsy Cline with the energy of Tina Turner. She has received awards from several shows, including 6 time Female Vocalist of the Year and 3 time Entertainer of the Year. She was awarded Most Inspirational Entertainer of the Year by the Texas Opry Jamboree.

So be sure to be with us on Monday, May 17, for another great night of entertainment.
