Salado Blasts Lexington 10-0

by Mike Organ

Lexington got five singles off Salado pitching in the five-inning contest. Chance Sherrill got two singles for Lexington. Chace Sherrill and Josh O’Conner each got one single in the game.

Lexington never really chal- lenged the game. After the lead off homer in the first, the Red Eagles posted another run in the inning to take a quick 2-0 lead. O’Conner retired Salado 1-2-3 I the second inning

Salado applied the big blasts in the third stanza. A lead off single was followed by a homer. Two more round trippers followed back to back as the lead widened to 8-0. Salado added another run in the fourth and one more in the bottom of the sixth as the score reached 10-0 which ends a contest after five innings.
