Michael Erwin Fritsche
Michael Erwin Fritsche was born on February 6, 1961 in Houston, Texas to Erwin Edmund & Doris Emma (Vogel) Fritsche. He was baptized on February 19, 1961 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Houston and confirmed on March 23, 1975 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Serbin. He attended Giddings High School and was a member of the graduating class of 1979. Michael had been employed as a pumper with Clayton Williams and enjoyed hunting, fishing and sports, especially baseball and golf.
Michael passed away at his home on Thursday, April 29, 2010.
Funeral services were held on Sunday, May 2, 2010 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Serbin with Rev. John Schmidt officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery. .
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Gustav & Mary Fritsche, John A. Vogel and Willie Zoch.
Michael is survived by his two sons, Aaron & Blake Fritsche of Giddings; his parents, Erwin & Doris Fritsche of Northrup; sister, Carol & Glen “Skip” Wobus of Smithville; two brothers, Rodney Fritsche of Giddings and David & Michele Fritsche of Northrup; grandmother, Hermine Zoch of Northrup as well as several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and friends.
Serving as pallbearers were Andrew Fritsche, Christian Fritsche, Matthew Wobus, Luke Wobus, Aaron Prince and Philip Fritsche. Honorary pallbearers were Mike Simpson and Greg Roeber.
Memorials may be made to the St. Paul Lutheran Church Restoration Fund or the charity of one’s choice.
