Giddings Library News Corner

Did you know that the Giddings
Public Library takes over forty
magazines that can be read in the
library or checked out? The
magazines are located on the left
back side of the library where the
newspapers and the reading
section is found. Back issues are
also available for you to read. Ask
a librarian for assistance.
Homemakers have access to
women’s magazines such as Taste
of Home, Southern Living, Better
Homes and Gardens, Family
Circle, Good Housekeeping,
Ladies Home Journal, Simple
and Delicious, and Woman’s Day.
These magazines contain helpful
home helps as well as many, many
recipes.
Magazines about Texas include
Texas Fish and Game, Texas
Gardener, Texas Highways,
Texas Live, Texas Monthly, and
Texas Parks and Wildlife.
Sports fans can check out

Outdoor Life or Sports
Illustrated.
Readers who like to do crafts or
home improvements have a choice
of Craft’n Things, Handyman,
or Paper Crafts. Popular news
magazines include Time
Magazine, U. S. News & World
Report, Consumer Reports,
Newsweek, Reader’s Digest, and
National Geographic.
Some other magazines found at
the library are Ebony,
Entertainment Weekly,
Guidepost, Money, Oprah,
People, Parenting, Prevention,
Reminisce, Seventeen, Popular
Mechanics, Popular Science,
Rotarian, and Successful
Farming. Take time to check out
some of the magazines which have
the same check out time as other
items in the library.
Library Hours:
10:00am – 6:00pm Monday – Friday
10:00am – 1:00pm Saturday
Closed Sunday
