Rogers Swats Eagles

The league leading Rogers Eagles swatted the Lexington Eagles 9-2 Tuesday night in Rogers.

Lexington took a 1-0 lead in the top of the second inning. Josh O’Conner singled with one out. Jacob Carr blasted a double to the fence sending O’Conner all the way home.

Lexington scored again in the seventh inning. O’Conner led off with a double. Pinch hitter Coby Berger delivered a two-out single to get O’Conner home just ahead of the throw.

In between, Rogers amassed nine runs as they beat the Green Eagles for the second time this season.
