45th Annual Lexington Homecoming

Lexington’s 45th Annual Homecoming will be this year on April 30 – May 2, with the customary Golf Tournament happening Sunday, April 25 and the Gospel Singing sponsored by the Ministerial Alliance taking place Thursday, the 29th.

This year some additional features have been included, a pet show on Friday evening at the Park Pavilion and a Barrel and Pole Exhibition at the American Legion Memorial Arena at the park.

The Art Show returns this year, although it is moving to the old St. Joseph Clinic located next to Bott’s Title on the Square. That will open at 7 Friday night and remain open until 9 before reopening Saturday morning at 11 a.m.

Saturday, United Methodist Church will host a pancake breakfast at 7 a.m. and the Lexington Rotary Club will have their 5K Fun Run/Walk starting at 8 a.m. at First Christian Church on Hwy. 77.

All day long on Saturday, the Square will be full of vendors, food, the Classic Car Show, Barbecue Cookoff, live music, a parade and so much more.

Both Friday and Saturday nights, a street dance will be held for those wanting a little extra entertainment. Lee County Line will be Friday night’s featured entertainers and Todd Fritsch will be Saturday night’s.

Sunday, the Grad Bash 2010 will host the annual Homecoming lunch at the Lexington Elementary Cafeteria, with serving starting at 11 a.m.
