Milda Anna Kasper

May 3, 1926 - April 1, 2010

Milda Anna Zimmerman Kasper was born on May 3, 1926 in Pottsville, Texas to Willie & Emilie (Sommerfield) Zimmerman. She was baptized on June 13, 1926 at the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Pottsville, Texas by Pastor C. Roth and confirmed on March 17, 1940 at St. Michael’s Lutheran Church in Winchester, Texas by Pastor E.R. Rathgeber. Milda was united in marriage to Henry W. Kasper on January 4, 1943 in Winchester, Texas by Pastor E.R. Rathgeber. Henry preceded her in death on March 9, 1979. She was an avid quilter with many unique touches, crocheter, and gardener. Her quilts and baby blankets have warmed many adults and babies in the area and around Texas.

Milda passed away Thursday, April 1, 2010 at Methodist Charlton Hospital in Dallas, Texas.

Funeral were held on Tuesday, April 6, 2010 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Giddings,Texas. Burial follow ed in the Giddings City Cemetery in Giddings.

Milda was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her sister, Edna Krampota and her son-in-law, Ray Teague.

She is survived by her son, Franklin Kasper and wife, LaVon of Smithville, Texas; her daughter, Emily Kasper Teague of Oak Leaf, Texas; her granddaughter, Bobbie Geffert and husband, Tim of Corpus Christi, Texas; her great granddaughter, Nicole Geffert of Corpus Christi, Texas as well numerous nieces, nephews and special friend and neighbor, Victoria Sandoval of Giddings, Texas.
