Eagles Clawed by Granger

by Mike Organ

The Granger Lions proved to be bad hosts as they handed Lexington a 10-0 defeat. The Lions scored two runs in the second, third, and fourth innings for a 6-0 lead. The roof fell in on the Eagles in the bottom of the fifth as the Lions scored four runs, on two hits, to end the game Lexington collected five hits off Granger pitching. Chace Sherrill had two singles. Josh O’Conner, Tyler Moerbe, and Dylan Iselt each had a single in the shortened contest.

Lexington resumed District 25- AA action Saturday in Lago Vista. It will be a crucial game to the Eagles’ playoff hopes.
