Giddings Police Report

March 22, 2010

While on routine patrol, Officer Lehmann was contacted at the police department with a complaint of telephone harassment. Investigation ongoing.

March 22, 2010

At 12:41 p.m., Sgt. Ramirez, Lt. Harney, Officers Lehmann and Cummings were dispatched to the Classic Bank located at 825 E. Austin in reference to a disturbance in progress. Upon arrival they met with the actors involved, Rodney Gamble and Tommie Burns. Through investigation, Burns was placed under arrest for Terroristic Threat class B Misd. Burns was transported to the Lee County Sheriff’s Department for process.

March 22, 2010

At 2:24 p.m., Sgt. Ramirez met with a complainant at the GPD in reference to her house being burglarized. She stated that her son had a locksmith make entry into the house for him and had the locks changed. Case pending further investigation.

March 23, 2010

While on routine patrol, Sgt. Ray and Officers Hernandez and Shepard responded to 809 S. Madison in reference to a disturbance. Voncille Lopez was arrested for Assault Family Violence Class A, against Daniel Bradshaw.

March 25, 2010

At 9:23 a.m., Officer Griffin initiated a traffic stop in the 100 blk. of S. Harris. The driver, Nicholas Juan Govan of Giddings, was subsequently placed under arrest for a Probation Violation Warrant for Possession of Marijuana out of Brazos County. He was taken to the Lee County sheriff’s Office and released.

March 26, 2010

At 8:21 p.m., Officer Hernandez and Sgt. Ray were dispatched to B&W Grocery at 1079 E. Austin in reference to a vehicle that had been broken into and damaged. Upon arrival, he met with vehicle owner, Gabbrelle Baker and a report was completed. No charges were filed.

March 26, 2010

At 4:31 p.m., Office Griffin initiated a traffic stop in the 1700 block of E. Austin. The driver, Michael Lee Cardenas of Giddings, was subsequently placed under arrest for Driving While License Invalid/Suspended and taken to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office and released.

March 27, 2010

At 12:31 a.m. Officer Hernandez, Sgt. Ramirez and Officer Cummings were dispatched to an unknown disturbance around the area of Cactus St. Upon arrival in the area they encountered Brian McNeil who stated he and his girlfriend had been arguing. McNeil was found to be in possession of marijuana. He was arrested for possession of marijuana and was transported to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office.

March 28, 2010

While on routine patrol, Officer Lehmann and Sgt. Ramsey were dispatched to a reckless driver call at 4:07 p.m. The vehicle was located at 2222 E. Austin. Philip Troy Walter was arrested for Possession of a Fictitious Driver’s License and Driving While License Suspended and booked into Lee County Jail.
