Eagles Top Florence 6-3

The Eagles topped Florence 6-3 Wednesday night for their first district win of 2010. Casey Iselt was the winning pitcher in relief of starter Dylan Iselt.

Florence scored in the top of the first. Lexington came back with two runs in the bottom of the first on a walk to Josh O’Conner, a walk to Tyler Moerbe, followed by RBI singles from Kaelan Blok and Jacob Carr.

Both teams put two runs across in the third inning. Blok led off with a single, Carr singled, Spencer Bownds walked, and Casey Iselt devliverd two runs with a sharp single up the middle to retake the lead. Kogan Garrett scored the rest of the Eagle runs. The first came in the fourth inning. A walk, stolen base, and a wild pitch got him to third. Tyler Moerbe got Garrett home on a grounder to short. In the sixth Garrett reached on a single, stole second and came home on a Moerbe double.
