New Convenient Service for City Residents
Residents of the City of Lexington will find a more convenient way to pay their light bill without having to go inside the new City Hall. This week, the City installed a drive-through-type drop box at the rear of the building so that people can drive up to the box and place their payment in.
“We needed to replace the wall drop box currently on the south side of the building due to some problems we had with payments getting hung up in that,” said Mayor Willrich, “so we came up with this idea.”
Residents who want to use the new service can enter the drive from Rockdale Street facing Third Street, pull up to the box and simply drop their payments into the new receptacle.
