District Court Continues to Deal with Full Docket

On March 11, 2010, in the 21st Judicial District Court of Lee County, the Honorable Terry Flenniken sentenced three individuals.

Change Gregory Rudel, 41, of Sommerville was sentenced to two years confinement in the TDCJ for Unlawful Possession of a firearm by a Felon. He was assessed $788 in court costs and fees.

Zachary Alan Reed, 18, of Red Rock in a new trial on Intoxication Assault was given a sentence of 10 years confinement in the TDCJ, probated 10 years; 90 days confinement in the Lee County Law Enforcement Center as a condition of probation. He was fined $2,000 and assessed $984 in court costs and fees. His driver’s license was suspended for 90 days and he must complete alcohol and/ or drug assessment and treatment. He must also have an Ignition Interlock Device installed in his vehicle.

Travis Scott Johnson, 18, of Lexington was given four years probation for Evading Arrest or Detention with Vehicle. He was fined $1,000 and assessed $384 in court costs and fees. He must perform 200 hours of community service restitution and enter and successfully complete alcohol awareness and/or victim impact programs.

In further court action, the Honorable Reva Towslee-Corbett sentenced an additional six individuals.

Jose Noe Reguna aka Jose Noe Requena, 47, of Caldwell was sentenced to five years confinement in the TDCJ and fined $2,000 for DWI-Subsequent. He was also assessed $910 in court costs and fees and received a two year suspension of his driver’s license.

Mark Wayne Gerdes, 55, of Victoria was sentenced to five years confinement in TDCJ for DWI-Subsequent. He was fined $2,000 and assessed $500 court costs and fees.

Christopher Jereth Hayward, 23, of Smithville had his original sentence for Possession of marijuana- 4 oz – 5 lbs. revoked and must serve nine months confinement in TDCJ-State Jail Facility. He must pay all costs previously assessed and pay $400 court appointed attorney feel on the Motion to Revoke Probation matters.

Roy Herman Timmes IV, 18 of Giddings was sentenced to 10 years confinement in the TDCJ probated seven years for Injury to a Child. He was fined $1,000 and assessed $784 in costs and fees. He must also serve 250 hours of community service and submit to sexual evaluation and treatment.

Joseph John Nevius dba J & J Gate Company, 46, of Paige was sentenced to six years confinement in the TDCJ probated six years for False Statement to Obtain Property or Credit. He must also pay $19,328.51 restitution.

Deborah Lynn Cox, 28 of Ledbetter was sentenced to two years confinement in the TDCJ, probated four years for Abandoning or Endangering a Child. She was fined $400 and assessed $854 in costs and fees and must enter a substance abuse felony punishment facility and treatment as as deemed necessary as a condition of probation.
