Mamie Virginia Hutchinson

April 1, 1934 - March 5, 2010

Mamie Virginia Hutchinson was born April 1, 1934 in the Salty Community and was the daughter of Ed Thomas Caffey and Mamie Violet (Catchings) Caffey.

Mamie was raised in the Salty and Thorndale area. She had lived in Pasadena and surrounding area for 52 years before moving back to Thorndale in 2001.

She and Frank Robert Hutchinson were married on February 6, 1981. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Thorndale, member of VFW Ladies Auxiliary and the WMU through First Baptist Church in Thorndale.

Mamie passed away on Friday, March 5, 2010 at her home in Thorndale. She reached the age of 75 years, 11 months and 4 days.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Frank Robert Hutchinson. Brothers, Ned Kenneth Caffey and Wilford Barkley Caffey and her parents.

Surviving are a daughter, Bernadean Webb and husband Ronnie Hooke of Pasadena, Texas. Brother, Eddie Guy Randolph Caffey of Thorndale. Nephew, Stanley Caffey & wife Lisa. Nieces, Fawn Baldwin and Anesta Rydell and husband Raymond. She is also survived by several other nieces, great nieces & nephews and cousins.

Services were Tuesday, March 9, 2010 at First Baptist Church with Eric Garcia and Jay Burnett officiating. Burial followed at the Salty Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers; Bobby Caffey, Noe Garcia, Ray Seal, Stanley Caffey, Hector Hernandez, Robert McCoy and James Rodriquez.

Honorary pallbearers; John Ramirez and Guy Barkley Edwards.
