Della May Keen

May 31, 1915 - March 6, 2010

Della May Keen was born May 31, 1915 to Ernest H. and Bertha Betty (Backhaus) Noack in Rockdale. Della was raised in Rockdale and graduated from Rockdale High School.

She and Lawrence Luther Keen were married on February 1, 1941 in Rockdale and to this union two children were born. She worked at Strickers in Rockdale until her marriage. Then moving to Forest Grove where she worked in the fields with her husband. She later was baby sitting for families in the Forest Grove area and a homemaker. She was a long time member of the Forest Grove Christian Church.

Della passed away on Saturday, March 6, 2010 in the Richards Memorial Hospital. She reached the age of 94 years, 9 months and 7 days.

She is preceded in death by her husband; Lawrence Luther Keen. her parents; Ernest H. and Bertha Betty Noack. Brother; Earl Noack. Sisters; Emma Bertha VonGonten, Pearl Holley and Ruby Whiteley. Step Mother; Leona Brockenbush Noack.

Della is survived by her daughters; Linda L. Pratt & husband Jim and Glenna M. Lynn both of Forest Grove. Brother; Leon E. Noack & wife Billie of Rockdale. Sister Helen Perry of Rockdale. Five Grandchildren; Creighton Lynn & wife Jamie of Taylor, Julie (Platt) Martin and husband Christopher of Austin, Dawn (Platt) Shriver and husband Tommy of Pettibone, Melinda Lynn of Forest Grove and Ken Jones, and Laurie Platt of Forest Grove. Seventeen great grandchildren; Grayson, Hayden, Hudson and Griffin Lynn of Taylor, Brooke Goodman of Austin, Britt and Bryce Martin of Austin, Dakota, Davin, Rex and Camden Shriver of Pettibone. Eric, Kristen and Heather Jones of Moody. Ethan, Esten and MeKenna Jones of Forest Grove. One great great grandchild; Kaison Mayhew of Moody.

Services were Tuesday, March 9, 2010 at Forest Grove Christian with Jim Platt and Brandon Navarre officiating. Burial was in the Keen Cemetery.

Serving as Pallbearers were Alan Noack, Steve Noack, Jeff Noack, Jimmy Keen, Wayne Holliman and Otto Kemper.
