Ten People Sentenced in District Court
On February 23, 2010, in the 21st Judicial District Court of Lee County, the Honorable Terry Flenniken sentenced ten individuals.
Arthur J. Snow, Jr., 41, of San Marcos, was sentenced to 2 years confinement in the TDCJState Jail Facility for Forgery by Passing. He was assessed $784 in court costs and fees and ordered to pay $1,490.19 in restitution.
Shiela Marie Wolf, 44, of Smithville, convicted on 2 counts of Tampering with a Governmental Record, was given two concurrent sentences of 5 years probation on two year TDCJ State Jail Facility sentences. She was also assessed a total of $2818 in fines, court costs and fees. She must also enter and complete a substance evaluation program.
Byron Daniel Davis, 26, of Giddings, received a sentence of 2 years confinement in the TDCJ for Unauthorized Use of Motor Vehicle. He must also pay $784 in court costs and fees.
Zachary Alan Reed, 18, of Red Rock, TX., was charged with Intoxication Assault and Evading Arrest or Detention with Vehicle. He was given a 5 year probated sentence on the Evading Arrest charge and a 10 year probated sentence on the Intoxication Assault charge. He was also assessed a total of $4934 in fines, fees and court costs. He must also perform 200 hours of community service and enter an alcohol and/ or drug program. As a condition of probation he must serve 90 days in the Lee County Jail.
Mary Melvina Madden, 43, of Fayetteville, was given 5 years probation on a sentence of 2 years confinement in the TDCJState Jail Facility. She was also assessed a $500 fine and $784 in court costs and fees, plus $2,721.41 restitution. She must also perform 100 hours of community service.
Marschelle Lavern Stewart, 47, of Lincoln, had her original sentence for Theft of Livestock revoked and must serve one year in the Lee County Jail plus pay all costs previously assessed, plus $400 court appointed attorney fee on the revocation matters.
Doyle Alfred Penney, 50, of Thrall, was given a sentence of one year confinement in the Lee County Jail, probated for 18 months and a $1500 fine plus $350 in court costs and fees for Cruelty to Animals. He must also perform 50 hours of community service restitution.
Teresa Jean Faller- Greenhaw, 55, of Elgin, was given a one year probated sentence for Resisting Arrest. She was also assessed $2,350 in court costs and fees and must perform 40 hours of community service.
Tommy Dell Jones, 62, of May, was given 10 years probation on a charge of Injury to a Child. He was fined $1500 and assessed $450 court costs and fees. He must also complete a sex offender evaluation program and forfeit his teacher’s certificates.
Edward Deshan Smith, 33, of Giddings, was sentenced to 365 days in the Lee County Jail, probated for 365 days for Assault. He was assessed a $500 fine plus $788 in court costs and fees.
