February 20, 2010

On February 20, 2010, Officer Kelly assisted Lee County Deputies by responding to a house fire on CR 326. No one was injured.

February 20, 2010

At 5:40 a.m., Officer Kelly was dispatched to the 800 block of HWY 77 to investigate an alarm at a local business. Office r Kelly checked the business; made contact with the owners, who responded and checked the interior of the business. The business was deemed secure at ground level.

February 24, 2010

At approximately 11 p.m., Officer Kelly was notified in person by a female who had been assaulted by her boyfriend. The female told Officer Kelly what started the assault was the boyfriend drinking at a bar and her not being home to greet him. According to the complainant, she, arrived home the boyfriend went outside retrieved a semi automatic pistol placed it against her forehead. Friends took the handgun away from the boyfriend. Next, the complainant told Officer Kelly she was being choked by the boyfriend, at which time a friend pulled him off of her. The boyfriend then went to the kitchen and retrieved a large knife and attempted to cut and stab at the complainant, cutting her shirt and under garment. Again the friends of the complainant took the knife away from the boyfriend. The complainant the left the home and stayed the night with friends. The boyfriend was not found until several hours later hiding at a residence. A warrant is being drafted for this individual. The case is under investigation and the boyfriend is to be arrested.

February 25, 2010

At 11:50 p.m., Officer Kelly responded to the 100 block of Hale in refence a family disturbance. He was told by the victim that her husband had pushed her down. The male was arrested and transported to the Lee County Jail.
