Cole Rolls over Eagles

by Mike Organ

San Antonio Cole held Lexington to two points in the first quarter and then took total command of the game in the second quarter. From there Cole opened their lead as the game progressed to record a 55-28 win over the Eagles. The loss brings Lexington’s season to an end. The Eagles finished the season with a 20-14 record and the satisfaction of having the best season for Eagle basketball in many moons.

Julien Clark led the Eagle scoring with 11-points. The Eagles had lived by defense this season. Cole had the answer with an offense that was as consistent as any Lexington played this season Cole also played tough defense ala Lexington that quashed the Eagle offense to a season low in points.

Playing their last game as Eagles were: Kelden Wren, Tevin Lovings, Phillip Hagen, and Julien Clark. Coach Charlie Tucker expects to see seven returning players for next season’s version of the Eagles.
