Sheriff ’s Report

February 15, 2010

Deputy York was dispatched to FM 3403 in Lexington to put up cows that were out on the roadway.

The Dime Box principal requested a deputy because a student assaulted another student. The student was issued a juvenile citation.

A motorist reported that a vehicle had unhitched a U-Haul Trailer and just left it in the middle of CR 133. Deputy Robertson located the vehicle and the driver advised that he hit a bump and the trailer came off the hitch. We drove down the road to get some help.

Deputy Robertson was dispatched to get cows off the roadway on Hwy 21 near CR 114.

A caller reported that an 18- wheeler had broken down and was parked on the on ramp to Hwy 21. Deputy Aderhold was dispatched and reported that it had been fixed and was leaving.

February 16, 2010

Several motorists reported cows out on Hwy 21 near FM 2440. Deputy Aderhold was dispatched to put up 3 cows that were out on Hwy 21. The owner was on the scene.

Deputy Aderhold was dispatched to FM 696 West to put up cows. The cows ran into a pasture and the owner was notified.

February 17, 2010

Deputy Carvin followed B&M ambulance who took an inmate to the hospital. The inmate was cleared and returned back to the jail.

A motorist reported that a white van that was pulling a trailer had pulled out in front of him nearly causing a wreck. Deputy Robertson assisted in locating the vehicle.

Deputy Crockett and Deputy Robertson were dispatched to St. Mary’s Cemetery on FM 180 after a caller reported that her adult son was going crazy and talking about digging up his deceased grandmother. After making contact with the subject deputies advised that he came from Houston to visit his grandmother’s grave and was not acting crazy and did not plan to dig up his grandmother.

The Sheriff’s Office received a burglar alarm at a residence in Lexington. Deputy Easley responded and advised the owner was on scene and called the alarm company.

A nurse from St. Mark’s reported to Deputy Aderhold that a juvenile was bitten by a stray cat on CR 309.

Deputy Aderhold was notified by dispatch that a caller had reported that an oil well on FM 141 had a very loud alarm going off. Dispatch made contact with US Operating and advised them of the alarm.

February 18, 2010

A motorist reported cows out on Hwy 21 @ CR 400. Deputy Aderhold was dispatched and the owner of the cows was notified.

Deputy Crockett was dispatched to put up loose cows on FM 696 East just east of CR 406.

Approx 20 head of cattle were out on CR 127. Deputy Lapham, Deputy Robertson and Chief Deputy Kothmann assisted in getting them off the roadway. The owner was notified.

A caller requested the fire department to his residence because he was burning trash in his backyard and the fire got out of control. Deputy Robertson and Deputy Durrenberger responded along with the Lexington Fire Dept.

A resident on Hwy 21 West reported that someone had left a flatbed trailer on his property and he wanted it removed. Deputy Durrenberger spoke to the complainant.

Sheriff Meyer was dispatched to Brookshire Brothers after a caller reported an elderly female who appeared to be lost and confused. A friend was contacted and arrived to pick up the female.

Two subjects were having a verbal dispute on CR F regarding the right of way of their property. Deputy Ray responded and advised that the matter was resolved for the time.

February 19, 2010

Deputy Crockett was dispatched to an alarm at a business on Hwy 77. The business owner was notified and he advised it was one of his employees that accidentally tripped the alarm.

MHMR contacted the Sheriff’s Office and requested a welfare concern on a subject who has reportedly accidentally overdosed on his medication. Deputy Robertson and Deputy Lapham responded along with B&M Ambulance and the subject was fine. The subject was not transported to any hospital.

A caller reported that two of her neighbors on CR 326 had their flags and flagpoles stolen from their gate entrances. Deputy Easley spoke to the complainant.

Deputy Lapham assisted with a civil stand by at a residence in Lexington while a female collected her children and their belongings.

February 20, 2010

A caller requested a deputy to her residence because her husband was trying to start an argument with her and she is not having it! Deputy Lapham and Deputy Durrenberger responded and advised it was verbal only. Everything was okay.

A resident on CR 405 reported having a problem with the neighbors’ goats getting out and tearing up her property. Deputy Durrenberger spoke to the owner of the goats and they advised they will move the goats to a different property where they will stay in the fence.

Deputy Durrenberger was dispatched to Hwy 21 in Dime Box to check on an elderly woman whose vehicle had broken down. The vehicle had over heated.

A complainant reported that her adult son was hollering at her and calling her names and she was tired of it. Deputy Ray and Deputy Carvin responded. The matter was resolved.

Deputy Ray responded to a structure fire on CR 326. A caller reported that her new double wide was on fire. No one was inside.

February 21, 2010

Deputy Crockett was dispatched to a disturbance call on PR 4309 after a caller reported that his wife had been yelling at him and then she reportedly drank some Clorox and other liquids that were under the sink. After arriving at the scene it was determined that his wife had not drank anything. It was a verbal argument only.

Deputies and Troopers worked a vehicle accident on HWY 77 @ HWY 21. A trailer turned over on the ramp. No injuries reported.

Deputy York responded to a complaint of two juveniles riding a 4 wheeler on CR 424 at the Burleson County line.

Deputies York, Lapham, and Easley responded to a family disturbance on PR 5000.

Deputy is working with CPS on a possible child abuse case reported by a local Doctor.

Deputy Ray went out on CR 405 where some goats were reported out for the second time in two days.

Deputy Easley responded to a motorist on the HWY 290W @ the Bastrop County line with a flat tire.

Caller advised she has a bat in her apt and needs assistance, Deputy Aderhold responded.

Deputy Carvin responded to a report of a reckless driver on HWY 290 @ County Road 200. Caller advised Ford truck is swerving into oncoming traffic and then almost off the roadway.

Deputy Ray responded to a call where a black calf was on CR 226.
