Country Music Monday

Country Music Monday comes with a brand new show in a new facility on Monday, March 1st at 7:30 p.m. The location is the new Giddings High School Cafetorium on Highway 77 North of Giddings with all the latest technology to enhance the performances. The new performers include the entertaining thirteen year old twins Rian and Riley Castillo, who have expressed their love of music since the age of two; Brian Black an experienced and loved vocalist, and Gaylynn Robinson, a prolific songwriter and passionate singer. Included in the outstanding evening’s program are Larry and Bobby O’Neal, Tara Crowley and Kimberlin Krause.

Rian and Riley Castillo live in Elgin and attend St. Louis Catholic School in Austin. Their specialties include Old and New Country Music, Rock n Roll and some Tejano with Rian as the guitarist and Riley the drummer. Their idols include Elvis, The Beatles, George Strait and many more prominent singers. The twins are very entertaining, full of energy and will fascinate their audiences. They have performed at a variety of Central Texas events as Oktoberfests, Fun Fests, special events occasions sponsored by large companies, private parties and talent shows.

Texan Brian Black has been wowing audiences from El Paso to Nacogdoches from Abilene to Beeville with his distinctive, pure country voice and crooning style that attracts audiences who continue to want more. A truly dynamic singer, he has earned his popularity based on his ability to deliver good country music. He has awed his listeners at shows in more than eleven of our United States and opened shows for some of the most renowned singers as Garth Brooks, Tanya Tucker, Rick Trevino, and a long list of others. A comment from the Houston Livestock Show reads: “This was the first time anyone has ever silenced this room.”

A Texas original, Gaylynn Robinson, with prominent country roots has a musical styling that incorporates country, rock, blues and folk influences. Her songs evoke a thoughtful and provocative brand of simple truth and genuineness no matter what the subject.

Gaylynn has received rave reviews on her song writing and vocal presentations. Ratings on both European and American rating charts has remained high for weeks. A number of most successful recordings and awards in the country musical world has earned her a worldwide audience and a loyal following. Her most recent accolades include 2009 Academy of Western Artists Western Swing Song of the Year Nominee, 2009 Texas Music Awards Female Vocalists of the Year Nominee and the list continues.
