The World Day of Prayer

For several years many of the women in our community have gathered together to participate in the “World Day of Prayer” which is coordinated by Christian Women United and is scheduled for the first Friday in March each year.

This year, First Christian

Church will host this event for our community. The date is Friday, March 5, beginning at 10:30 a.m.

The focus of this year’s emphasis will be “Camaroon”. The women of that country have compiled a program showcasing the history and needs of their country. This special World Day of Prayer is observed in 2,200 communities across Canada and 170 countries around the world.

This is your reminder and invitation to participate in this year’s Lexington “World Day of Prayer” observance.

A covered dish luncheon in the church Fellowship Hall will follow the service. Bring a covered dish for lunch, either a cassrole, a salad or a dessert.

This gathering of the ladies of our community is always a wonderful time to share our faith and friendship as we gather round the table for a time for food - fun and fellowship.
