Lexington defeated Florence 43- 20 Tuesday night to close out the home basketball season. The win gives Lexington a season sweep over the Lady Buffs. Lexington has now won three district games this season.

Deja Griffin and Angel Parks were the leading scorers with 14 and 10 points each. The Lady Eagles played from the lead taking a 15-4 lead after one period. The Lady Eagles built on it every quarter after taking every stanza as they took their biggest win of the year.

A tough, hustling press generated the lead early in the game. Coach Ryan Starnes called off the press after the half, playing half court basketball the last two quarters. Florence is in a down time in girls’ basketball and a huge win proves nothing.
