Flora Ruth Layton, 71, “Granny” of Granny’s Restaurant in Lexington, passed away Friday morning, February 5, 2010. The family received guests at the Elgin Funeral Home on Monday, February 8th. A funeral service, celebrating Ruth’s life, was conducted at the Elgin Funeral Home’s Serenity Chapel on Tuesday, February 9th. Interment followed at the McDade Cemetery.

Arrangements and care were entrusted to the staff of Elgin Funeral Home.
