Lexington battled outmanned Rogers for a quarter before moving out to a 24-13 lead at halftime. Lexington widened the lead the rest of the game. The Eagle full court press, hustle, and quickness caused Rogers to turn the ball over as the game progressed. Lexington literally wore them down with pressure.

The officials called a fairly close game causing some players to have playing time limited due to foul trouble. The Lexington team is so deep, that little changed when on player went out and another replaced him.

Lexington was paced by Jason Washington with 14 points. Julien Clark and Tevin Lovings with 11 points each were also in double figures. In all, 10 Eagles scored points on this night.

Washington had a good night shooting as he sank four threepointers. Avahn Crumb did a great job rebounding and blocking out Rogers’ players. Julien Clark had his usual game of great moves and steals as the Eagles won their seventh district game against just one loss.

Lexington can wrap up a playoff spot by defeating Florence Tuesday night.

The Eagle JV won their game big, with a 44-17 win.
