At 7:45 a.m., Chief Davenport received a phone call asking for more patrolling in the Old Town area due to heavy vehicle traffic in the area of Avenue A and Douglas during the night time.

February 23, 2010

At 12:13 a.m., Officer Kelly and Chief Davenport responded to the 500 block of Main Street in reference a fight in progress call. Officer Kelly arrested one male for public intoxication. Several patrons of the business were injured with a pool cue. The case remains under investigation. One male involved in the fight is being sought by police for investigation as to his potential involvement.

February 26, 2010

At 8:45 p.m., Officer Connolly and Chief Davenport arrested a male individual on two felony aggravated assault warrants stemming from a February 23rd fight at a local business. The male was transported to the Lee County Jail.

Animal Control Officer Castro and the Blue Paws Organization are continuing their quest on the Feral Cat population. If your pet is missing please contact ACO Castro at 979-540-9791. A reminder all animals kept outside should have a collar and Rabies tags. If you should be missing your pet please contact the Animal Control Officer.
