Texas Master Naturaist

The Gideon Lincecum Chapter of Texas Master NaturalistTM (Austin, Colorado, Fayette, Lee and Washington Counties) will begin its new training class on Monday nights, 6:00pm to 9:00pm, from Saturday, February 6th (Introduction) to Saturday, May 15th(Graduation), 2010 at the Winedale Historical Complex (Briscoe Center for American History) near Round Top. Two field trips form an integral part of training and will be held on Saturdays.

Supported by the AGRILIFE EXTENSION SERVICE and TEXAS PARKS AND WILDLIFE DEPARTMENT, the statewide Texas Master NaturalistTM program aims to train volunteers who will work toward the restoration and conservation of native wildlife and habitat through education, outreach to the community, and service projects. 40 hours of classes and 40 hours of volunteer work are required to certify. Class size must be kept to 25 trainees.
