Stop by the Giddings Public Library today and check out some books—fiction, non-fiction, paperbacks, hardbacks, or CD’s. A good book would be Evidence by Jonathan Kellerman that features Alex Delaware and Milo Sturgis. Set in Los Angeles this thriller has murder, blackmail, conspiracy and revenge.

Malice by Lisa Jackson is a very long novel set in New Orleans and Los Angeles and is a gripping tale of deception, betrayal, and revenge.

Nightwalker by Heather Graham is a story about murder and a treasure of money set in Las Vegas and the ghost town of Indigo. Some other new books are If The Witness Lied by Caroline Cooney, The Year Of The Flood by Margaret Atwood, and Take Back Your Family by Joseph (Rev Run) Simmons and his wife, Justine Simmons.

Relentless by Dean Koontz is a thriller that explores the razor – thin line between the best and worst of human nature where a successful family man is drawn into a confrontation with an enemy of unimaginable malice. Whispers Of The Dead by Simon Beckett features forensic English anthropologist David Hunter is thrust into his first murder investigation in the United States.

Texans should enjoy reading The Birth Of Texas Ghost Town Thurber 1886-1933 by Mary Jane Gentry. This lively history of the rise and fall of this Texas Coal town provides a unique picture of a bygone era in Texas history.

The Library is open Monday through Friday 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. and 10 to 1 p.m. on Saturdays.
