Lee County to Host Health Expo
Admission is free to the 2010 Lee County Health Expo, Thursday, January 28, at the Giddings American Legion Hall on Hwy 77 South. The Health Fair is opened to all citizens in and around Lee County. Doors will be open from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm.
The Lee County Health Expo is hosted by the Lee County office of Texas AgriLife Extension Service and Country Care Plex. Visitors can be screened, at no cost, for cholesterol and glucose will offered. Please note, theses tests require morning fasting.
Other screenings and tests available include: blood pressure, body mass index, grip strength testing, measure body fat and pulse oximetry.
Visitors will also have an opportunity to receive sleep apnea assessments and view physical re- habilitation demonstrations.
Information will also be available regarding Alzheimer’s and dementia, cancer awareness prevention and services, bereavement services, diabetes information, family counseling, home health care, hospice services and physical therapy.
Individuals with disabilities who plan to attend and who may need auxiliary aids, services or accommodations must contact the Lee County Extension office five days prior to the event so that appropriate arrangements can be made.
