If you watched the game without looking at the score board you would have though Jarrell was mopping the floor with the Lady Eagles. If you looked at the scoreboard, you were surprised. Lexington stayed eight to 12 points behind all night. Jarrell won the game 50-41 but Lexington made one of the top teams in the district hustle to beat them.

With the score 19-29 in the third quarter Lexington dropped a threepointer to close to 22-29. The Lady Eagles stole the ball and had a shot at closing to five-points but missed. The rest of the game would see Jarrell go out to a 12- point lead and Lexington reel them back to eight or nine.

Deja Griffin led the Lexington effort with 18 big points. Angel Parks had a good night rebounding as she grabbed eight against much taller opponents. Rachel Clark dropped in two treys for the Lady Eagles.

Lexington is now 1-5 for district play and 11-13 for the season.
