Brazos Valley CEU Conference

Keeton Ehrig Lee County Extension Agent Keeton Ehrig Lee County Extension Agent The 2010 Brazos Valley CEU Conference will be conducted on Friday, January 29, at the Burleson County Fair EXPO Building in Caldwell. TDA certified, licensed, commercial and non-commercial, applicators can obtain up to five CEU’s; one hour in Laws and Regulations, two hours in Integrated Pest Management, and two hours in General.

The cost is $25 per person if preregistered by January 22; otherwise, it will be $35. To register, contact the office of Texas AgriLife Extension Service in Burleson County at 979-567-2308. A catered lunch will be served.

Registration opens at 7:30 am. The program will begin at 8:30 am with Keeton Ehrig, Lee County Extension Agent, AG/NR, discussing Aquatic Weed Management (IPM). The remaining morning speakers include: Dr. Larry Redmon, State Extension Forage Specialist, Lone Star Healthy Streams: Keeping Texas Waterways Safe and Clean (General); Tim Reinke, Range Specialist with Natural Resource Conservation Service, Pasture Renovation Options (General).

The afternoon sessions will include: Dr. Don Renchie, Extension Program Leader for Agricultural & Environmental Safety, Laws and Regulations for Agricultural Producers (L&R); and, Aaron Sumrall, San Jacinto County Extension Agent, AG/NR, Controlling Feral Hogs (IPM). The event is scheduled to conclude at 2:30 pm.
