Lee County 4-H Announces Two Contests

The Lee County 4-H has announced their sponsorship of two contests which will be held in conjunction with the Lee County Junior Livestock Show.

The Lee County 4-H Horse Show will be on Thursday, March 25, starting at 1:30 pm in the LCJLS Arena. Entry deadline is Friday, February 26.

Competitive classes include: Registered Geldings, Registered Mares, Grade Geldings and Grade Mares.

Entry forms and rules are available on-line at http://leetx@ tamu.edu. An entry fee of $25 per animal must be paid with registration. A copy of the current Coggins test must be provided for each animal entered in competition.

Competition is opened to active members of a Lee County 4-H Club or active member of a FFA Chapter at Giddings ISD, Dime Box ISD and Lexington ISD.

The Livestock Judging Contest is scheduled for Saturday, March 27, beginning at 9:00 am. Checkin will begin at 8:30 am. Registration is $5, payable at check-in. Competition is open to all youth interested in livestock judging.

Participants will compete on an Individual Level. There will be no team competition. Participants must bring their own clip board and pencil. Please RSVP to the Extension office.
