The Somerville Yeguas proved to be ungracious hosts as they beat Lexington 69-51 Friday night. The Eagles were not ready for the physically gifted Yeguas. Lexington fell back in the first quarter 14-0 before rallying back to end the period down 16-11. Coach Charlie Tucker said the Eagles just never found their rhythm the entire game. The talented 6’3” point man on the Yegua full court press presented a problem the Eagles just never found an answer for.
Julien Clark led the Eagles in scoring with 15 points and was the only Eagle in double figures. Lexington was horrible at the free throw line making only four of 21 tries.
