Sheriff ’s Report

December 14, 2009

Deputy Crockett received a report in reference to mailbox damage on CR 226. A close patrol was requested for the area.

Deputy York was dispatched to the 1000 block of CR 417 after receiving complaints about some donkeys on the roadway near the Christian camp. The complainant advised that they have been getting out for the past three days. Deputy York contacted the owner and advised him that his fence was down and needed to be repaired.

A motorist reported seeing a cow out on the side of the road on hwy 77 south of Elm Creek. Deputy Carvin responded to the call and ran the cow off the roadway.

December 15, 2009

Deputy Crockett responded to an audible alarm at a local business on hwy 290 west. Deputy Crockett made a perimeter check and advised that all gates are locked and secured.

Deputy Ray took a theft report from a man who stated that someone had stolen his lap top computer. The case is under investigation pending charges.

Deputy Crockett was dispatched to the Blue Methodist Church after receiving a complaint about a car blocking the driveway.

Dispatch received a 911 call reference to a domestic disturbance on PR 3141. A female caller stated that her soon to be ex-boyfriend was making verbal threats to her and wanted him removed from the property. Deputy Durrenberger was dispatched out to the call and advised that both parties have agreed to separate for the night.

December 16, 2009

Deputy York and Deputy Ray were dispatched to a domestic disturbance call on CR C. A female caller stated that she was assaulted by her father and wanted to leave. Deputy York advised that the caller will be staying with her aunt and made arrangements to have her pick her up. No charges were filed in the incident.

Dispatch received a call from a woman who stated that another juvenile pointed a gun at her grandkids as they were getting off the bus at the corner of CR 127 and CR 123. Deputy Durrenberger, Deputy Carvin and Chief Deputy Kothmann met with the complaint and a report was taken. The school transportation department was contacted and notified of the incident. The case is under investigation pending charges.

Dispatch received a call from Burleson County advising that they have located a juvenile who was reported as a runaway from Lee County. Deputy Aderhold met the Burleson County unit at the county line and transported the juvenile to the sheriff’s office where she was released to her mother.

December 17, 2009

Deputy Lapham took a report from a complainant who stated that his son was receiving text messages from a number he didn’t know. The complainant advised he tried to call the number back and no one would answer. The case is under investigation.

Chief Deputy Kothmann spoke with a complainant on CR 122 reference to an animal complaint

Deputy Crockett was dispatched to hwy 290 west of CR 200 after receiving a call in reference to a man standing on the side of the road holding what appeared to be a damaged bike. Deputy Crockett located the individual and advised that he was just taking a break before continuing.

Deputy Easley was dispatched to FM 696 West just east of the ALCOA plant for some cows that were reported out on the roadway.

December 18, 2009

Deputy Lapham and Deputy Robertson assisted DPS on a one vehicle accident on Hwy 21 approximately one mile west of Hwy 77.

Deputy Lapham responded to a call about a vehicle in the ditch on Hwy 21 near CR 400. The driver apparently lost control of her vehicle and went into the ditch. Deputy Lapham advised that the vehicle did not damage any property and sustained only minimal damage. The vehicle was pulled out of the ditch and was back out on the roadway.

Deputy Ray and Deputy Robertson assisted DPS with a one vehicle accident on Hwy 77 just south of Hwy 21.

Deputy Lapham and Deputy Robertson assisted EMS on a medical call out on CR 221 approximately two miles off on Hwy 77.

Deputy Easley and Deputy Durrenberger were dispatched to PR 1181 to meet with a woman who stated that someone broke a window in her house.

Dispatch received a call about a suspicious vehicle parked in front of a residence on CR 208. The caller advised that the vehicle pulled up onto the property and the driver appeared to be intoxicated. Deputy Easley and Deputy Durrenberger responded, the driver was taken into custody and transferred to the county jail.

Dispatch received a call from Bastrop County advising that there are 10-15 cars driving at a high rate of speed up and down CR 305 near the Knobbs Baptist Church. Deputy Easley and Deputy Durrenberger responded and checked the area.

December 19, 2009

Deputy Lapham and Deputy Crockett responded to FM 180 to meet with a complainant in reference to an assault that occurred early in the morning. A report was taken and charges are pending.

Deputy Aderhold responded to a call about a cow running in the middle of Hwy 77 two miles north of Lexington. Deputy Aderhold along with some assistance from a passing motorist, were able to run the cow into a pasture.

December 20, 2009

Deputy York transported two females from the Fayette County line to Giddings.

Deputy Ray responded to a call reference to cows out on Hwy 290 west of the Fayette County Line.

Deputy York and Deputy Crockett responded to a 911 call on CR 106. Caller stated that his wife had taken an unknown amount of prescription drugs and is threatening to stab herself with a knife. Deputy York advised that she okay and conscious. EMS transported the patient to St Mark’s.

Deputy Durrenberger responded to a call about a cow out on FM 3403 just off of Hwy 21.

Deputy Aderhold responded to a report of a subject standing in the middle of FM 1697 and FM 180 carrying an ice chest. Deputy Aderhold checked the area, subject left the scene prior to the officer’s arrival.

Deputy Durrenberger responded to a disturbance call on FM 180. The caller stated that her boyfriend was harassing her. Both subjects left the scene prior to officer’s arrival.
