Seven Sentenced in District Court
On December 10, 2009, in the 21st Judicial Court of Lee County, Judge Reva Towslee-Corbett, sentenced seven individuals.
Jeffrey Bernard Jones, 56, of Austin had been charged with Driving While Intoxicated- Subsequent. He was sentenced to 10 years confinement in the TDCJ. He was assessed $500 in court costs and fees. He also had his driver’s license suspended for 2 years.
Patrick Lee Saenz, 18, of the Texas Youth Commission was sentenced to 7 years confinement in the TDCJ for Aggravated Assault-Serious Bodily Injury. He was also assessed $750 in court costs and fees.
Alonzo Dewayne Flowers, 17, of the Texas Youth Commission was sentenced to 5 years confinement in the TDCJ for Assault Against a Public Servant- Bodily Injury. He must pay $750 in court costs and fees.
Joshua Sinclair Benson, 20, of Ledbetter had his probation from the original sentence revoked and must serve 9 months confinement in the TDCJ-State Jail Facility, plus all costs previously assessed and $400 court appointed attorney fee on the revocation matters. Benson received a second sentence of 9 months confinement plus $940 in court costs, fees, and restitution for a charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance-Cocaine, Less Than 1 Gram.
Keith Deshawn Wolridge, 33, of Giddings was sentenced to 6 months confinement in the TDCJ and assessed $940 in court costs and fees.
David Levi Jones, 23, of Bartlett was given 6 months confinement in the TDCJ and assessed $350 in costs and fees for Tampering With Witness. He was also sentenced to 10 years probation for Sexual Assault-Child Victim. He must also pay a $2500 fine, $450 costs and fees and must perform 400 hours community service restitution.
Ryan Clark Dresch, 21, of Brenham, had been given probation for Burglary of a Habitation. The conditions of probation were amended to include entering and completing the Substance Abuse Punishment Facility Treatment Program.
