Road Repairs on Shaw Street

The City of Lexington recently let a bid to Cummings Paving from Blanco, Texas to repave Shaw Road, beginning at C Street to the curve just before the Lexington Cemetery. The work began this past Tuesday morning and Mayor Robert Willrich, Sr. advises in his column in today’s paper everyone who uses that road to be careful while traveling that route. Construction is expected to take up to a month, depending on the weather.

Mayor Willrich said, “Some would say getting this stretch of road repaved is long overdue, and I’d have to agree with them. I’m just glad to get the job started.”

The funds for this project came from City funds, i.e. the taxpayer.
