Lexington Police Report
December 4, 2009
Approximately 9:00 p. m., Officer Sherer assisted with a vehicle pursuit in the area of CR 405 and Ave. ‘A’ in Lexington. The intoxicated male was arrested and transported to the Lee County Jail while the remaining Deputies responded to the under age drinking party out in the County.
December 7, 2009
Approximately 2:20 a.m., Officer Sherer conducted a traffic stop at the corner of HWY 77 and Cherry Drive. The driver was intoxicated and became combative towards the Officer. Officer Sherer radioed for “Officer Need Assistance”, while fighting with the extremely intoxicated driver. It was discovered the driver had 3 prior DWI’s. Chief Davenport responded to the officer’s assist and assisted in detaining the combative driver. EMS arrived to check out the driver prior to officer transporting the male driver to St. Marks in La Grange for a mandatory blood draw for evidence of the DWI.

Approximately 9:10 a.m., Chief Davenport received several complaints about drivers littering on Shaw and CR 326. Officers a will be monitoring this issue closely.
