District Court Sentences Five

In the 21st Judicial District Court on December 3, 2009, Judge Reva Towslee-Corbett handed down sentences to five individuals.

Margaret Enina Williams, 39, of Giddings, was charged with two counts of Theft Less than $1500.00 with Two Prior Theft Convictions. She received two sentences of 18 months confinement in the TDCJ State Jail Facility. She was also ordered to pay $750 in fees and court costs and $217.61 restitution.

Joe Albert Dixon , 37, of Caldwell was charged with Forgery by Passing. His 4 year sentence in TDCJ was probated for 4 years. He was ordered to pay $750 in court costs and fees and $2925.27 in restitution to be paid jointly and severally with Co- Defendant. He was also ordered to perform 150 hours of community service restitution.

James Alan Eldridge, 26, of Austin was given a sentence of 2 years confinement in TDCJ State Jail Facility, probated for 5 years for Abandoning or Endangering a Child. He was assessed a $2,500 fine plus $300 in court costs and $50 Bluebonnet Area Crime Stopper Fee. He must also pay $50 to the Child Abuse Prevention Fund and perform 200 hours of community service restitution and must serve 60 days confinement in the Lee County Law Enforcement Center as a condition of probation. He must attend and complete a Driving Safety Course as a condition of probation.

Candice Marie Iselt, 23, of Caldwell was convicted of 2 counts of Forgery by Passing. For the first, she was given a sentence of 5 years confinement in the TDCJ probated for 5 years, and assessed $750 in court costs and fees for each count. For the second, she received a sentence of 2 years confinement in TDCJ, probated for 5 years. She was ordered to pay a fine of $1,200 and must pay $2,925.27 restitution jointly and severally with Co-Defendant.

Robert Hampton Rosier, 42, of Caldwell, was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance-Cocaine, Less than 1 Gram. His 2 year sentence was probated for 3 years. He was ordered to pay $2,940.00 in fines, court costs and fees as well as $140 restitution. He was also ordered to enter and successfully complete the Substance Abuse Felony Treatment Center as a condition out of Burleson County, Texas.
